ETNA’s technical service department supports our continuing effort to meet and exceed our customer’s needs. When you conduct business with ETNA, you work with our highly trained and process oriented technical team. Our sales engineers and technical service staff can help you achieve optimum process results using ETNA metalworking lubricants, fluids, and services. The ETNA team uses the newest in high technology test equipment such as an X-ray Twist Compression Machine for lubrication and a Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer.

ETNA’s field sales engineers and technical service department, working in cooperation with our customers, maintain ETNA’s metalworking lubricants and fluids at peak performance levels. Our technical service is supported by the use of sampling and laboratory analysis, coupled with the timely reporting of information back to our customers. The information regarding the in-use fluid can be used to maximize fluid performance and thereby increase our customer’s quality, productivity, and profitability.

Testing

The Etna lab will perform the analysis and issue a report within 3 to 5 business days of receipt of the sample at our facility provided that the previously mentioned sampling criteria is followed. Turnaround time is dependent upon when the sample arrives for the reasons stated above. The report you get back shows who is receiving copies of the report at your facility as well as the name of your Etna representative. The machine I.D. and product being used are also displayed. The report shows what tests were performed, the recommended parameters, and the actual results of your sample.

Oil-Reclaim

Before the first oil supply embargo organized in 1973 by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), before the Love Canal crisis in 1975 and before the passage of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) in 1976, Etna Products was offering an oil reclamation service to our customers. Our Company believes in environmental stewardship, as well as helping our customers maintain or improve their profitability in the face of the increasing cost of complying with environmental regulations. Our years of hands on experience with formulating and manufacturing specialty metal forming lubricants coupled with an extensive research and development program has propelled us to a leading position in the field of reclaiming specialty oil-based metal forming lubricants for re-use. Etna's oil reclamation service means that the waste oil is dewatered, then filtered to remove impurities and then the depleted additives are replaced such that the reclaimed oil meets the original specifications of the virgin oil based lubricant.
